Podcasts have changed the way people are interviewed and how they perform – and your clients need your support. The new environment which is longer form, might involve an hour’s chat (and it will feel like chat) and may or may not be on video, works a little differently from a more traditional media scenario.
This session equips your colleagues to train their spokespeople on aiming for a vibe rather than sticking to a script, looking at storytelling skills and avoiding clunky pivots with practical exercises using people’s phone mics. The agency will then be able to charge for this, develop relationships with podcast hosts and in some cases cut down on time-consuming preparation of briefing documents.
Our trainer Guy is an experienced podcaster himself and his show, “The Near Futurist”, has been running since late 2018. In addition he has been a journalist since 1989 and knows what interviewers look for – and how to deliver it. This course covers up to five delegates for half a day and aims squarely at the PR professional wanting to arm themselves with the skills to support their clients in a podcast environment.
