WE WILL COME TO YOU
International Clients
We're in the UK but clients elsewhere ask us to come and train them. We asked why.
International media training can mean a lot of things – for us it’s sending an English-speaking trainer overseas. We do it often and would welcome doing it more.
In 2024 we trained in Germany. We were in Paris earlier this year doing the same thing. Recently we trained someone online from Hungary. So why, we asked the clients, did they choose a British media trainer rather than someone local?
The first answer was that the clients didn’t want any British trainer, they wanted Guy in particular . That’s always good to hear.
Our German client said our credentials were invaluable when making the final choice. Even so, there were other factors which might resonate with you if you’re a PR company looking for a media trainer internationally.
For one thing they were targeting international media. International media training rather than focusing on a single country was therefore imperative. For most of the international media you’re going to need to do the interviews in English. The best way to practice this is with a native English speaker.
That’s not all though. The German contact also commented that the British media is often known to be tough. So a British trainer would be rigorous. Moreso than the American or other English-speaking counterparts. For this reason engaging an English trainer was essential – and of course travel from the UK was more feasible than from the US.
If you’re in PR this might sound like your client. They may need international media training. It might sound like your company if you’re the internal comms person. It certainly sounds like our sort of client. Remember, if you’re looking for media training but you’re not in the UK, we’re not that far away.
